Things to do in Maui- During December through April watching the Humpback Whales off the coast of Maui is always exciting. If you are staying on Maui's west side, you can see a lot of activity as whales breach and tail slap along Maui's shore line and in the channel between Maui, Lanai and Molokai.

For anyone wanting to get closer to the action, there is a wide variety of boats available for whale watching. Some catamarans launch from Kaanapali Beach, while others depart from: Napili, Lahaina, Mala Boat Ramp, Buzzes Wharf and Kihei.
